- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1-2 years required for submission; minimum 1 year acute experience required 2. Cases: Autism, Birth Defects, Developmental Delays, Language Disorders, Signs and Symptoms of Physical/Sexual/Psychological Abuse, Patient/Family Education 3. Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP required; must be AHA; copies required at submission 4. License: Valid State License required (Pending accepted); 2 references from within the last 24 months required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Wellsky/Epic; Epic experience preferred; charting experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 0730-1800 and Friday 0730-1700; OR 5x8s 3 days at 0930-1800 and 2 days at 0730-1600; No weekends; No block scheduling; schedule can change with two-weeks notice 8. RTO: No holidays or holiday eves/days after holidays; requests exceeding 7 days require manager approval; pre-approved time off limited to one 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 1 year (perm staff) before returning 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; locals NOT accepted; floating to other units and/or facilities is expected for all travelers; travel pairs accepted (related candidates may not work same unit) 11. Background: Ohio facilities require fingerprinting for Pediatric units; Ohio FBI/BCI results take 4-6 weeks; travelers cannot start with results pending — no exceptions 12. Modules: First 4 hours non-billable; any time exceeding 4 hours billable up to 8 additional hours (12 hours total); completed during orientation and annually; vary by specialty; facility reported 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Black scrubs required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16.
