- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: NICU required; Level 3 Nursery experience required; must be able to attend C-Sections; transports within hospital required 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CRT and RRT required (CRTT or RTT accepted); NRP required (travelers may start with it pending for general use, but NRP required to work in NICU); PALS preferred; all listed as required or preferred accordingly 4. License: LA State License required; for RNs, valid LA License or Compact License due at time of submission — cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays; must work weekend before Mardi Gras; winter holidays must work 2 of the 3 holidays; will work with summer holidays; schedule as needed 8. RTO: No more than 5 consecutive days; no pre-approved time off; will work with summer holidays; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Locals (anyone under 75 miles) accepted at local rate regardless of specialty; travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; Allied ranges 2-4 hours; RN ranges 5-8 hours; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Blue scrubs required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Required experience with Puritan Bennett 840/980, Servo I, V60s, Visions, and Trilogy Critical: COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only). At least two recent manager references required. Hardtop deadline is the Wednesday prior to a Monday start date.
