- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have recent critical care experience; first-timers not accepted; RRT only, no CRT 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, NICU, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery float required; full skills list includes BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, Nitric Oxide, Bronchoscopy, Intubation Assist, Mechanical Ventilation Weaning, ABG Interpretation, Tracheostomy Care, and more 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) required; all must be in hand at time of start 4. License: SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) license must be in hand at time of start; candidates with pending license may be considered with proof of application or SC walk-through confirmation, but traveler will not be cleared until license is active 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights, 6:45p-7:15a; every other weekend required; holiday rotation; no on-call required; must be able to float to all areas of the hospital including labor and delivery; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; block schedule not available 8. RTO: All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; RTO after submission will not be accepted; auto-offer eligible if 7 days or less of non-holiday RTO; candidates with 7+ days or holiday RTO require facility approval; only one MUSC unit/campus submission at a time 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius; no locals accepted; MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 4 hours; included in NBO hours; completed pre-start; reported by facility.
