- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers considered with strong PICU/NICU and adult RRT experience across all age groups 2. Cases: Critical Care Respiratory Therapy; NICU primary focus (Level 3 and/or 4 NICU required); PICU required; ER, Level 1 Trauma, Med/Surg adult care settings required; Jet high frequency vents common (3-4 running at all times); smallest patient 22 weeks gestational age 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT required; BLS/ACLS/PALS must be AHA ONLY; NRP — NRP or AAP accepted; CPI Certificate required (Calm Every Storm online version only acceptable online vendor) 4. License: Active MD or Compact License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00-07:30); 36/48 hours accepted; every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled; floating required within facility respiratory care settings and sister SRH facilities within scope; on-call not required 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end of new contracts; one major holiday off during winter season may be allowed; one pre-approved time off per posting 9. Returning Staff: Return travelers must be away at least 6 months from the system after assignment completion; former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler; most locations allow one contract and one extension, then a 6-month break required before returning to that facility/unit 10. Travel/Local: Locals under 50 miles not accepted unless job specifically states locals accepted; local travelers considered at a reduced local traveler rate — seek clarification with AM when submitting 11.
