- Required certification: Rad Tech - Interventional Radiology

- Unit Notes:Department: IR / Vascular Tech *Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** Department will not take previous employees from this facility. - # suites/labs: 7 Rooms Total (4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR/Vascular). - #cases per day on average: Total all 20+ (in all rooms). - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: IR: Port Placements, liver biopsy, IVC placements, g-tube placements, PICC & Central Line placements, & Neuro (coiling, thrombectomy, embolization's, etc.- Anesthesia supports Neuro cases). Vascular: Fem-pops, AAA repair, Carotids, EVAR, Angios, and more. - Job Duties: Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup, Calibrate & troubleshoot (fluoro, hemodynamics monitoring), pull supplies, set up sterile table, scrub in and assist physicians with procedures (device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon & stent deployment, manage radiation dose & imaging angles, clean/restock/room turnover, sheath removals. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years IR experience, specific experience dependent on where we would utilized person - EMR/Equipment: Merge, Cerner. Siemens - Cardiologist hours/on call: 1 RN, 3 Techs, Could be chart if needed - Manager/Charge Nurse: 2 Team leads run scheduling and staffing; may be in staffing if needed. - Staffing: Daily Staffing: Cath Lab: 1 RN, 3 Techs; EP: Varies, 3 to 4 person team; IR: 1 RN, 2 Tech, Anesthesia supports Neuro cases; STEMI CALL Team: 4 Person (1 RN & 3 Techs). - Shifts & Scheduling: 4 ten-hour days per week plus call. 7- 1730. Rotating day off. Will consider 5- 8s 7-330. - Weeknight/Call Requirements: Weeknight and weekend call rotation. Approx once every 3 weekdays. - Weekend/Call Requirements: Yes rotation, once every 3 weekends. Fri- Mon. - Holiday/Call Requirements: May be asked to go into Holiday Call . - What is call response time?: 30 min. - Floating Requirements: Hybrid for vascular cases. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Provided scrubs, can wear own scrub caps. - Unit/Department specific orientation: Usually 2 -3 full days of training/shadowing, buddy call. No call the first week, 2nd week on call with a buddy then on their own *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield.
