- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Heart and lung transplants required (screen if no experience); LVAD, Robotic Thoracic, and Trauma experience required/preferred; Level 2 experience required; Level 1 experience preferred 3. Certifications: BLS required; CST (Certified Surgical Technician) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting preferred; Surgical Technologist/Technician competency exam and CORE exams required; Skills checklist must be submitted 4. License: Allied License/Certification required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Not specified 7.
