Cases: Vascular (Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair), Cardiac (CABG, CVOR); must Scrub AND Circulate; Trauma Level I experience preferred 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred; NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted if ST was employed as a ST in S.C. prior to January 1, 2008 or completed a ST military training program 4. License: Pending license not accepted; Social Security Number must be sent with submittal 5. Education: Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces 6. EMR: 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10 Days; Call requirements discussed during interview; Vascular: 7-10 days on call including weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun); Hearts: 10-15 days on call and 2 weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun); Guaranteed hours allow facility to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; Orientation every Monday; Orientation hours: 30 8. RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission; approval based on facility needs 9. Returning Staff: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract (effective 2/1/26, nursing only, excluding CVOR); after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks), traveler must convert to employee or take a minimum 6-month separation before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted if over 50 miles from specific facility; CVOR/OR falls under Exception 2 — must be 50+ miles from relevant flagship hospital (Prisma Richland or Prisma Greenville); 50-99.9 miles = 10% bill rate reduction; 100+ miles = full bill rate; under 50 miles ineligible; CRNAs only: local radius is 60 miles 11. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start, not included in NBO; completed annually; recorded in transcripts by Prisma Health; time not entered into timecards; pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information 13.
