- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-time travelers not accepted. Previous Charge Experience required. 2. Cases: Neonates to Geriatrics (patient population); skills include Inpatient Lab, Outpatient Lab, Autocyte, Conventional, HP DNA test, SurePath, ThinPrep, Ascitic Fluid, Esophageal, Gastric, Spinal, Staining, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Specimen Labeling/Identification. 3. Certifications: ASCP or IAC certification required; ASCP-CT listed specifically. 4. License: GA RN or Compact license required at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic; any charting system experience accepted. 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift (hours may vary); block scheduling; every other weekend unless specified; no call requirements; floating rare within facility/scope of practice. 8. RTO: Max 7 days per contract; ALL RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests post-offer or onsite. If 1-2 holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if 3 holidays fall during assignment, 1 holiday RTO may be considered. Traveler expected to work major holidays falling within assignment (1-2 worked of first two; 2 of 3 if three fall in period). 9. Returning Staff: Perm/Per Diem/FCSS must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before applying as a traveler. If canceled or facility DNR, traveler must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying; profile must reflect all time worked at Piedmont Health. 10.
