- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Acute Care experience required within the last 2 years; 1 year stated separately in submission notes; Previous Charge Experience required 2. Cases: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow, and complex long-term patients; required skills include Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Start/maintaining IVs, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen administration, Trach care/management, Feeding tube care/management, Heparin Protocols, Pacemakers/Temp/Perm, Telemetry on-unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, MS/Tele, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: Active New York Single State LPN license required in hand at time of submission; NY is not Compact; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to the account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 D/N rotation, 7a-7p / 7p-7a; 13-week contract; Every other weekend required; Must be available to work every other holiday if needed; client may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract without charges 8. RTO: Must submit requests upon submission; cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO; up to two pre-approved time off days noted 9. Returning Staff: Return staff policy — 1 year 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles of facility are NOT accepted; locals accepted for LPNs at $10 less (note: conflicts with 75-mile radius rule — flag for clarification) 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; any time exceeding 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required — Yes; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combination of navy blue and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16.
