Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of experience required 2. Cases: Burn patients with 0-100% TBSA burns; burn and plastic surgery patients; wound debridement and skin grafts; physical therapy needs including pain management, surgical dressings, mobility, and positioning to prevent contractures and scarring; up to 8 patients per day 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License required at time of submission; pending not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Must work Saturday and Sunday in the Burn Unit; can pick up 3 other shifts Monday-Friday; every weekend required; must be able to float inpatient acute care; facility will accept PT or OT; Trauma Level I and II experience preferred 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Locals (anyone under 75 miles) accepted at local rate regardless of specialty; travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; Allied range 2-4 hours; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — No Exemptions; COVID-19 vaccine required — Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Hard deadline is Wednesday prior to a Monday start date. Two recent manager references required. Orientation is 8 hours.
