Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years MS/Tele required 2. Cases: General Medical Surgical, Diabetes/Renal Insufficiency, Overnight Ortho, Vascular Insufficiency, Wound Patients, Backup for Stroke Unit; Required Skills include Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias and Telemetry 3. Certifications: BLS and CPI required (CPI can be obtained at facility for $100); NIHSS and ACLS preferred; must also have NIH per VMS fields 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License due at time of submission; pending not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting required 7. Shifts/Call: 36/48 rotating or 48 hours per week; Patient Ratio 1:6 (1:4 if cardiac drip); Weekend requirement yes; Call requirement no; Float yes; Holidays — must work at least 2 of 3 major holidays; Mardi Gras not guaranteed off; Orientation: 24 hours 8. RTO: RTO less than 5 days or add time to end of contract; must submit time off at time of submission 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Locals (anyone within 75 miles) accepted at local rate regardless of specialty; travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN range 5-8 hours; Allied range 2-4 hours; completed pre-start, vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Navy Blue or combination with White 15.
