- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years required (VMS job requirements section lists 2 years); first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, Feeding Difficulties, Dysphagia, ARFID, Failure to Thrive, Autism, Developmental Delay, Motor Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Sensory Processing Difficulties, varied genetic and developmental diagnoses; experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding/eating difficulties required; swallowing disorder experience preferred; patient age range 18 months and older required, 8 months and older preferred 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA), NBCOT required; copies required at submission 4. License: CA OT License required; if licensed in another state, may use 60-day rule to practice in CA while obtaining CA license (takes 6-8 weeks); must be willing to obtain CA license upon offer 5. Education: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program, OR Bachelor's Degree in OT from an AOTA accredited program if graduated prior to 2004 6. EMR: Epic; experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 0800-1830 (off Wednesday); start/end times may vary approximately 30 minutes due to paperwork; no on-call requirements; may be called off based on patient volume; hours guaranteed after call-off policy has been met 8. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Clinician must provide a written statement at submission addressing: feeding populations worked with (age, diagnoses, settings); percentage of caseload involving feeding; types of feeding difficulties directly assessed/treated; and how feeding assessment and intervention skills were developed (coursework, mentorship, continuing education, or on-the-job training). Children's hospital experience preferred but not required. Clinician must have ability to independently evaluate and treat a full caseload with primary referral reason of pediatric feeding disorder. Will spend 1-2 weeks at Plaza location for orientation/training. Assignment length: 20 weeks. Free traveler parking available.
