- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Strong spine/neuro, comprehensive memory care, and multiple diagnosis experience required; patient diagnoses include all levels of spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders with similar presentation 3. Certifications: BLS (AHA only), NBCOT required; CPI Certificate required as part of compliance (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor); ACLS/PALS if applicable must be AHA only 4. License: State OT license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8s Days (0730-1600); every third Saturday required; holidays required as they fall; no on-call; floating may be required within specialty; travelers are first to float with no restrictions or special requests 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end of new contracts; one major holiday off during winter season may be allowed; schedule restrictions cannot be requested or guaranteed; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Return travelers must be away at least 6 months from the system after assignment completion; former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler; most locations allow one contract and one extension, then a 6-month break before returning to that facility/unit 10. Travel/Local: Locals under 50 miles not accepted unless job specifically states locals accepted (permanent address must be 50+ miles from hospital address) 11. Background: Not specified 12.
