- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Wide variety including complex ED admission diagnoses; border role with fast-paced, high-volume ER, MS/T, and IMC border patient care; adults and geriatrics 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS required; BLS/ACLS/PALS must be AHA ONLY; CPI - Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; copies required at submission 4. License: Active MD or Compact RN License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights (19:30-08:00); every other weekend required; holidays required as they fall; floating required between ED borders, extenders to MS/T, IMC units within specialty and scope; pre-scheduled call shifts not required; travelers are first to float with no restrictions or special requests 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end on new contracts; one major holiday off during winter season may be allowed; no pre-approved time off; schedule restrictions cannot be requested or guaranteed 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler; return travelers must be away at least 6 months from the system after assignment completion; most locations allow one contract and one extension, then a 6-month break is required before returning to that facility/unit 10. Travel/Local: Locals under 50 miles not accepted unless job specifically states otherwise; permanent address must be 50+ miles from hospital address 11. Background: Not specified 12.
