Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – MS/Tele – CMO
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- IN license
- Minimum 1.5 years’ experience
- MS/Tele experience is sufficient
- Required Skills:Work Setting: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry (remote monitoring), Cardio: Post angiogram, Post MI, IV Therapy/Phlebotomy, Medications: Heparin, PCA, Respiratory/Thoracic: Nasal cannula, Professional Topics & Skills: Isolation precautions, wound care/wound care
- BLS
- ACLS
- Preferred Skills: Use of Rapid Response Skills, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Surgical Drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac
Other Details:
- Cardiac experience is NOT required
- First Time Travelers Accepted
- Floating is 100% required, will float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby as needed
- COVID and Flu vaccines required
IN LICENSE AND CERTS MUST BE IN HAND TO SUBMIT
ICU, PCU and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local
CMO is an observation and inpatient unit with a fast patient turnover. The staff focuses more on acuity than continuity.
• Ideal staffing is 5 nurses, 3 techs, 5 patients for nurse. Can occasionally be 4 nurses, 3 techs, 3 nurses have 6 patients, and one nurse may have a increased ratios this is rotated between the nurses to help with burnout.
• Cardiac experience is NOT required. Any MS/Tele experience is sufficient.
• Block scheduling available; not guaranteed; however, if a nurse comes onto the unit in the middle of a scheduling period, they will be plugged into holes. Next scheduling period is when they can have block schedule.
First Time Travelers Accepted
Shift Requirements: 3×12 Nights 7p-7a; Every other weekend
Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS required
