Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – PCU – Neuro Stepdown and Stroke Unit 48’s
Shift: Nights. 6:45p-7:15a, 12×4, 48hrs per week, Will accept 36’s, EOW
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- NC License
- 1 Year Experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Charge nurse experience and telemetry experience preferred
- Stable trached ventilator management and pressor support experience preferred.
Other Details:
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
- Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): EPIC and Pyxis
- Travel experience not required
- Unit Accepts 1st time Traveler
- Locals accepted
- Float first from unit, definite float requirement and typically if floating to a lower level of care we would add 1 patient to the ratio. Travelers float first.
- Ratios: 1:4.
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required
- Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

JOB DETAILS:
Ratios: 1:4.
Shift: Nights 36 or 48 hours accepted.
RTO: 7 days MAX; NO CHRISTMAS EVE OR CHRISTMAS DAY RTO ALLOWED
Float Requirement: Float first from unit, definite float requirement and typically if floating to a lower level of care we would add 1 patient to the ratio. Travelers float first. There will also be storm team requirement.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
**Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Stroke, neuro medical
UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): EPIC and Pyxis.
SCHEDULING TYPE: Self
UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 Hours
SCRUBS: Navy
