Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Operating Room

Shift: Variable Days, 7a-3p & 7a-7p, (2) 12’s & (2) 8’s, 40hrs per week

Length: 13 weeks

On Call/Weekend Requirement: No on call requirement for first contract; up to 8 calls per 8-week period with a 60-minute response time – no weekend requirement

Requirements:

  • DC License
  • 2 years of experience with Whipple, Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, Scrub Transplant Surgery, Hepatectomy
  • BLS
  • Must be able to circulate/scrub – Hepatobiliary, Kidney and Liver Transplants *unit will consider someone who can circulate only but would prefer both skillsets
  • Completion of at least 1 travel assignment
  • Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I & II Experience preferred

***OR RN that will work solely on Transplant cases

Shifts: 2×12 Day (7am-7pm) / 2×8 day 7am-3pm alternating for a total of 40HRS A WEEK
On Call/Weekend Requirement: No on call requirement for first contract; if renewed for an extension on call requirement is as follows: up to 8 calls per 8-week period with a 60-minute response time – no weekend requirement

LOCAL WITHIN 60 MILES

Requirements:
– DC RN Licensure *must be in hand*
– BLS
– 2 years of experience with Whipple, Intestinal, Kidney, Liver, Scrub Transplant Surgery, Hepatectomy. Must be able to circulate/scrub – Hepatobiliary, Kidney and Liver Transplants *unit will consider someone who can circulate only but would prefer both skillsets*
– completion of at least 1 travel assignment
MUST HAVE DC LICENSE IN HAND

RTO Rules:
– ONLY 3 days of RTO per 13-week contract
– ONLY 7 days of RTO between contracts if extending
– All travelers are required to work a full GWW every week

Unit Information:
– Ratio :1:1
– Patient Diagnosis: Liver, Pancreatic Cancer, Congenital Liver and Small Bowel Abnormalities
– Special Procedures: Whipple, Pancreatectomy, Hepatectomy, Small Bowel Transplant, Liver Transplant (Peds and Adult)
Scrubs: Provided by unit, Color: Blue

***This facility requires that all employees have the Flu vaccine***
