Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Labor and Delivery

Shift: Variable D/N, 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 12×3, 36hrs per weeks

Length: 7 weeks

Call Required: 1 per 6 weeks
Weekends: Yes – 5 to 6 per 6 week period (not required to work every weekend)

Requirements:

  • CA License
  • 3 Years Experience
  • Looking for someone with previous charge Experience
  • Must have Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience
  • Circulate, Triage
  • BLS

Other Details:

  • Unit Systems: Omnicell, Epic, SBAR
  • 1st Time travelers accepted
  • Must be willing to float to Post Partum/Nursery
  • Beds: 24
  • Census: 150-180 births/month
  • Staffing Ratios: 1:2

  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required + Booster – Medical/Religious Exemptions only

CERTIFICATIONS
• Required: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Required:
• Minimum 3 yrs. Experience Required – Accepts 1st Time Travelers if Experience Requirements met!
• Circulate

Must Have 3’s and 4’s in the Following:
• Must have Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience
• Newborn care
• Magnesium
• Pitocin
• SVE
• Circulate
• Recover
• Post Partum Care
• Heel Stick
• Hyperbilirubenemia
• TCB, TSB
• Discharge Instructions
• Car Seat education
• Blood Transfusion
• Circumsicion Care/Assist

The shift for L&D is variable 3×12, 1900-0700/0700-1900 and that travelers will work either day or night shifts for consecutive weeks, typically in six-week blocks. SBCH Birth Center does not switch shifts within the same week or alternate them.
COVID Vaccination required.
All RTO must be on initial submittal. Please ensure all requested time off is included for entire length of contract.
