Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – CVICU

Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36hrs per week, Fri-Sun
Length: 13 weeks

On Call: 4 call shifts in 6 week schedule
Every third weekend

Requirements:

  • MD License
  • 2 Years Experience required
  • Must have CVICU Experience
  • Skills Required: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patients, pacer/temp pacer/ transvenous pacer
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Skills Preferred: lumbar drain

  • Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
  • Total Staffed Beds/Rooms: 8

  • Charting: Cerner/med connect

Weekend REQ: Every Third
Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Must have 1 prior travel assignment; screen if 1st timer

CVICU

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovery from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs and CABC. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital, and must do so safely and compassionately.
