- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: MS/Tele, PCU level patients, adult medical/surgical diagnoses; float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed; EDIP holding area 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI and NIHSS listed; all must be in hand; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; Pyxis and SBAR also used 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 36 or 48 hours; every other weekend required; no call required; manager schedules; storm/hurricane team assignment possible 8. RTO: Up to 7 days max, auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; no additional RTO after signing; call offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (perm/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name and dates employed; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted within 50 miles at lower rate; travel pairs allowed on different units and must be disclosed 11. Background: Not specified 12.
