- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years in a large, urban hospital; first-time travelers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center) 2. Cases: MS/Tele; drip experience required on all floors; required drips include Nitro, Heparin, Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix; screen and call out if no drip experience; Trauma Level I experience required 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred; must include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, cardiac telemetry, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, isolation precautions/PPE 4. License: Nebraska RN State License required; pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour option; float required every shift, including potentially to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away); travelers are first to float; patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period (Days: Saturday and Sunday; Nights: Friday night and Saturday night); orientation hours: 24 8. RTO: Must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; up to two weeks of RTO permitted; additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion; no RTO during first week of orientation 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility 11. Background: Do not submit for Radiology or Respiratory with license hits 12. Pre-start Modules: Must go into labs within 48-72 hours of accepting offer; all contracts end on Sunday; work week Monday-Sunday; Tier 2 documents due Tuesday prior to start by 4 PM CST 13. Travel Experience: Required; first-time travelers not accepted 14. Scrubs: Mandatory — RNs must wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back; information on obtaining branded scrubs provided after confirmation; facility also sells gray T-shirts available in company store 15.
