- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time travelers with strong CVICU experience including IABP and Impella experience 2. Cases: Cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, MI, pulmonary hypertension, advanced therapy workups (LVAD, heart transplants), mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hypertensive urgency/emergency; must be responsive on STEMI Team Call coverage 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA ONLY); CPI required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor); NIHSS and CCRN preferred; copies required at submission 4. License: Active MD or Compact RN License required at time of submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights (19:00-07:30); every other weekend required; holidays required as they fall; floating required within specialty, occasionally to ICU and lower acuity units; scheduled on-call shifts not required 8. RTO: Max 7 days can be requested; if more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added to the back end of new contracts; one pre-approved time off noted; most units allow one major holiday off during the winter season 9. Returning Staff: Former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as a traveler; return travelers must be away at least 6 months from the system after assignment completion; most locations allow one contract and one extension, then a 6-month break before returning to that facility/unit 10. Travel/Local: Locals under 50 miles not accepted unless job specifically states otherwise; permanent address must be 50+ miles from hospital address 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; factored in NBO; compliance document deadline is 5 days prior to start 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Navy blue 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — No Exemptions 16.
