- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year required; no first-time travelers; previous charge experience required 2. Cases: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, PNA, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, Sepsis 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS — all required 4. License: Active TN RN License required; Social Security Number must be sent with submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; minimum 1 year of Epic experience 7. Shifts/Call: 18:45-07:15, 3x12 nights; patient ratio 1:6; float required to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per census needs; staff floated only to units where competencies are demonstrated 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Travelers cannot extend for a 4th consecutive contract; after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (39 weeks), traveler must begin converting to employee status or take a minimum 6-month separation before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Must be 100+ miles from every Prisma facility for full bill rate; 90-99.9 miles accepted at 10% bill rate reduction; 60-mile local radius applies to CRNAs only 11.
