Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must be within the 3 most recent years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for a clinical pass 2. Cases: Solid tumor cancers including Breast, Lung, Prostate, Pancreatic, Colon, Esophageal Cancer, and antineoplastic chemotherapy; oncology experience preferred but not required 3. Certifications: BLS required; ONS Chemo preferred; AHA requirement not specified 4. License: Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission; Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon signing contract 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Days/Nights or Nights; first week of orientation Mon-Fri dayshift; second week is 36 hours of on-unit orientation with preceptor; self-schedule; float required to other MedSurg Oncology units; staffing ratio goal 1:4, can be 1:5; weekends variable based on unit needs 8. RTO: RTO required with submission and must be built into contract; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility; current employees ineligible at any Ohio State University hospital location; former manager name not explicitly required but references must include manager/director or formal leadership 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate; Ohio fingerprinting location requirements apply for out-of-state candidates 11.
