- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months; some ICU experience or high acuity PCU experience required 2. Cases: Titration of vasopressors (Levophed, Nicardipine, etc.), sedation medication, insulin drips, trach/vented patients, arterial lines, cardiac arrhythmias, chest tubes, external pacemakers — HARDSTOP requirements; non-negotiable 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; copies should be AHA or American Red Cross (standard requirement) 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic — charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 3x12s; 36-hour guarantee; weekend requirement is every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for nights depending on rotation); no on-call required; float to lower acuity floors within scope 8. RTO: No restrictions noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile local radius rule; locals NOT accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Clinician must have proficient experience with vasopressor titration, sedation drips, art lines, chest tubes, and trach/vented patients — these are hard stops and non-negotiable. Patient ratios are 1:3 days/nights/weekends. Unit is a high-acuity step-down from ICU with 29 beds and interdisciplinary support including RT (1-2 per shift assigned to SDU).
