They are not considered ICU level of care. *Ortho equipment *Chest tubes *IV drips: Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, Low dose dopamine and dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix to name a few *Trach PICC line MML Oxygen modes: cpap, bipap Special Equipment : *Telemetry is remote; however, monitors remain on units. *Implemented tele sitting in order to be able to place additional Patient Care Techs back on the unit *Goal ratio is 4:1; however, they do 5:1 mostly *We have a very large team of nurses that float throughout the building but there may be times you would be ask to float to another PCU or MS level of care unit *May work without CNA support #Tier2 Travel Compliance Please send all RTO up front with the submittal Please send a screenshot from your traveler confirming their commitment to starting on the date they are being submitted with. Return Travelers : Previous employees (both per diem and permanent) must be gone for a minimum of one year before returning to work as a traveler. Separation Policy (effective July 1, 2025): Facility does not allow travelers to return after they have worked on assignment for 365 days, despite any separation period . Carilion leadership will review exceptions to this policy on a case by case basis. *Note: Travelers that end prior to July 1 st will be grandfathered under the previous one-year policy. They will take a six-month break and can then reapply as a traveler, eligible for another full year.
