Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required for submission; compliance notes state 1 year minimum 2. Cases: Focus on pulmonary patients; adult acute care including ED, PACU, ICU, and med-surg transfers; patients with telemetry, arterial lines, central lines, BIPAP, and titrated IV infusions 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS also listed as required; must have in hand at time of submission 4. License: NY RN License required in hand to submit — NO EXCEPTIONS 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights 1900-0700; every other weekend required; float required to ICU or MS; patient ratios — Days 1:3, Nights 1:4, Weekends 1:3; orientation is 24 hours 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO; only one pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: 1-year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles of facility are NOT accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; any time exceeding 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted per top notes 14. Scrubs: Any combination of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: NY license must be in hand at time of submission — no exceptions. Flag any foreign education to the account manager at submittal. Patient ratio experience of 1:5 required; must be able to manage up to 1:7 for MedSurg. Previous charge experience preferred.
