Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required 2. Cases: All medical diagnosis with focus on pulmonary patients 3. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS required; must include valid NIHSS in submittal 4. License: NY license required in hand - no exceptions 5. Education: Alert account manager if traveler has foreign education requiring verification 6. EMR: EPIC experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: 4x12 nights, every other weekend; floating required to ICU or MS 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days RTO; pre-approved time off limited to one 9. Returning Staff: 1 year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Must be 75 mile radius; candidates within 75 miles not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total may reach 10 hours with excess being non-billable; completed pre-start 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Any combo of navy and white 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Must handle 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg. Unit is 26-bed IMCU step-down with continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Patient ratios: 3:1 days, 4:1 nights, 3:1 weekends.
