- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required for submission; PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown setting experience required 2. Cases: Pulmonary/GI primary; cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care, respiratory support, rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions; common IV medications include Cardizem (no titration), Amiodarone, Heparin (protocol), Insulin (protocol) 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; must be active and in hand 4. License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only if candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, 6:45p-7:15a; EOW or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling block; must work one holiday per 13-week contract; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; float required within skillset (another PCU or MS unit) 8. RTO: All RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be included at time of submission; two pre-approved time off slots noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10.
