- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of acute, inpatient, hospital case management experience in the last 5 years required (hard stop: minimum 1 year inpatient case management in the last 5 years; experience only in UM/UR will not be accepted). Must have case management experience in direct patient care coordination. 2. Cases: RN case management for adult and pediatric inpatient units and Adult ED; inpatient medical/surgical/ED/pediatric experience required. Skills include care coordination, discharge planning, InterQual Criteria, Milliman Guidelines, CMS, ICD-10 Coding, DRG, HEDIS, HIPAA, NCQA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, and more. 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; must be traditional AHA — RQI not accepted. Copies required at submission. 4. License: Valid state license preferred at time of submission; pending license accepted if application has been submitted and received by licensing board (qualifies for 90-day license exemption). 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Epic experience required to submit; highly preferred. 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8s; start dates are on Tuesdays; on-call not required; float required within adult inpatient, ED, and Peds, and potentially to affiliate hospitals nearby; weekend coverage variable — up to one weekend shift per pay period (every 2 weeks); block schedule possible by request; guaranteed 40 hours per week. 8. RTO: No more than 2 weeks; must be provided upfront; RTO noted as 7-10 days max with time added to end to make up for RTO. 9. Returning Staff: Must have been gone 6 or more months. 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rates; travel experience preferred but not required. 11. Background: OHSU will not accept any background or license hits. Uses Advanced Reporting system — comprehensive, lifetime background review; can be extensive and may take additional time. 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN average 4.5 hours, Non-RN average 2.25 hours; completed pre-start; vary by profession; recorded via transcripts. Relias exams required with a score of 85% or higher. 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience preferred; first-timers accepted. 14. Scrubs: Any color; no prints; provided by facility. 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown. 16. Special Equipment: Not specified. Critical: Compliance documents due one week prior to start; labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Two references required. Work history verification required for last 7 years including city, state, dates of employment, and PTO — candidate should be informed someone will be reaching out. SSN (last 4) and full DOB required. Up to 2 submittals allowed in system. If clinician calls into e-line, RNs are pushed to a Tuesday start. Ratios: 1:20-25 days; 1:75 weekends.
