- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 to 2 years required for submission; VMS lists 2 years 2. Cases: Sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, Renal Failure, AFIB, GIB, Stroke, COVID; MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by standard); Missouri or Compact License required at submission; Kansas and Missouri or Compact license must both be in hand at time of submission — unwillingness to obtain both will result in a cancel 4. License: Missouri or Compact RN License required; Kansas license also required due to floating between facilities; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic; 3 hours of pre-start Epic modules required (non-billable); RNs may choose Epic test-out option or Epic module; Epic training module should be completed first 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour shifts; no on-call required; 8 weekend shifts per 6-week period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday); holiday shifts assigned as needed; block schedule not accommodated; float pool position — no home unit, floats between roughly 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units and other Metro campuses 8.
