- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; Level 1 Trauma experience required; high acuity orthopedic experience required; previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: Total Joints, ORIF any fracture, Laminectomy, Hand surgery, bladder suspension, gyn surgeries, eye surgeries; post-op care of orthopedic trauma patients; high volume admits with large patient turnover 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: Kansas and Missouri licenses (or compact) required in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; 3 hours of non-billable pre-start EMR modules required; RNs may choose Epic test-out option or Epic module; Infusion Pump and Glucometer training due by Sunday prior to start date 7. Shifts/Call: On-call required — 1-2 weekdays per week and 2 weekends per 13 weeks; holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed; 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday); block schedule not accommodated; ratio is 1:5, may flex to 1:6 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; requests exceeding 7 days or any holiday RTO must be sent for approval; pre-approved time off limited to one 9.
