- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required 2. Cases: Non-Trauma Emergency Department; Primary Stroke and STEMI Center; typical ED patient diagnoses; occasional OB patients requiring management of mother/baby until transferred out; patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC required; CPI and MAB preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard); Missouri or Compact License listed under certifications 4. License: Missouri license or Compact license required; Kansas license also required and must be in hand at time of submission; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; 3 hours of pre-start Epic modules required (non-billable); RNs may choose Epic test-out option or Epic module; Epic training module should be completed first 7. Shifts/Call: No on-call required; holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed; 8-10 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per 6-week scheduling period; no block scheduling; floating required between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed; patient ratio is 1:4 days, nights, and weekends; guaranteed hours are 3 shifts per 13 weeks 8.
