Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of Med Surg experience required; Stepdown/PCU experience also required due to frequent floating 2. Cases: Adult MS Oncology unit (5T, 22-bed); diagnoses include wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, chest pain, AKI, dialysis, ETOH, liver failure, oncology, end of life care; PCU includes CHF, respiratory failure, post cath, cardiac arrhythmias, CIWA, NSTEMI, PE, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis 3. Certifications: BCLS required at minimum; ACLS, BLS, NIHSS listed; IV start skill required 4. License: Must already be SC licensed; facility will not accept any license hits 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech (MK) required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekdays, every other weekend, float, and holidays as needed; frequent floating to PCU/Stepdown and MS/Tele units; ratios — Stepdown 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6 8. RTO: Two pre-approved time off slots noted 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Must NOT live within 50 miles of facility; 50-mile radius enforced 11. Background: Facility will not accept any background hits or DUIs 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Preferred; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Royal blue/white; not provided by hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious exemptions and declinations allowed 16. Special Equipment: PCU uses BiPAP, Liberty PD machines, GE telepacks Critical: Traveler MUST be comfortable floating frequently to PCU/Stepdown. PCU/Stepdown experience is required. COVID-19 vaccine required — Medical/Religious exemptions and declinations allowed. Community Hospital experience preferred. Charge experience preferred.
