- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Combined pediatric cardiac and medical critical care patients; cardiac cases include DORV, TOF, HLHS, Norwood Sano/BT Shunt, TGA, Heart TX; medical cases include TBI, RSV+, DKA, trauma, seizures, post-op ortho/neuro, liver and kidney transplants 3. Certifications: BLS, PALS required; copies required with submission 4. License: VA license pending acceptable; must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights or rotating; every other holiday; 3 weekends per six-week schedule 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; unable to approve time off first 2 weeks of contract; no additional RTO after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of separation; cannot return after 365 days on assignment 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not listed as having mile radius rule 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12.
