- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total Joints required; extensive skills list including phlebotomy and IV placement as mandatory competencies 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required 4. License: NY RN License required and must be in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Foreign education must be flagged to account manager at time of submittal for verification 6. EMR: Epic experience is a hard requirement 7. Shifts/Call: Block scheduling; 3:1 patient ratio days and nights; call required on weeknights and weekend shifts (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight shifts per month, 4 total) 8. RTO: Cannot submit anyone with more than 10 days of RTO; only one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: 1-year return staff policy 10. Travel/Local: Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted 11. Background: Reviewed on a case-by-case basis 12. Modules: Billable up to 5 hours; total module time may reach 10 hours; time exceeding 5 hours is non-billable; completed pre-start, vary by specialty; recorded via facility report 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Provided by hospital in teal 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Unknown 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: RNs must have mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement. Multiple submissions allowed. Candidates must float.
