- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years ICU experience required from a Large Level I/Level II facility; patient ratio experience of 6:1 required; previous charge experience preferred 2. Cases: Must be comfortable working ALL ICU, PCU, and MS units as a whole house float; traveler must confirm comfort with all three specialties and experience with ratios of at least 1:5; one MS unit (Inpatient Rehab) is located at Community Hospital a couple blocks from the main hospital 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; all must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: Active Virginia State or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted only if candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s, 6:45p-7:15a nights; staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours — traveler may float 2-3 times per shift; weekend requirement is EOW or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week block; must work one holiday per 13-week contract; during winter holiday period, must work 2 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, NYE/New Year's); facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks 8. RTO: All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with the submittal; two pre-approved time-off slots noted 9.
