- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: May take pediatric patients; wide range of surgical and procedural cases including cardiac, neuro/spine, ortho, vascular, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, urology, and PACU phases I and II 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required 4. License: Valid LA RN License or Compact License required at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting required 7. Shifts/Call: Weeknight call 1-2 times per week; weekend call rotation; weekend requirement yes; float not required; 16 orientation hours 8. RTO: One pre-approved time off allowed 9. Returning Staff: Permanent staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel; previous charge experience preferred 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius rule; locals accepted at local rate regardless of specialty 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; RN modules range 5-8 hours; Allied range 2-4 hours; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Hospital provided 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required; no exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Not specified Critical: Travelers may only submit to one campus at a time. At least two recent manager references required.
