- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; less than 3 years ortho/neuro experience will be screened 2. Cases: 30-40 daily cases; 1,200-1,500 cases per month; general, ENT, GYN, neuro, ortho/total joints, plastics, podiatry, robotic surgery, trauma; no open heart; low-volume pedi (1 day per week) 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS noted (marked with asterisk); must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Day shift variable 0645-1715 or 0845-1915 including weekends; 8-, 10-, and 12-hour variable shifts based on unit needs; on-call required — approximately 1-2 weekends (Friday after work through Monday morning) and 2-4 weekdays per 3-month contract; travelers plugged into holidays as needed; every Saturday and Sunday third shift is variable; all OR staff scheduled for 40 hours per week (12-hour shift nurses/techs receive additional 4 hours for break/lunch coverage); guaranteed up to 36 hours, with 40 hours guaranteed for 12-hour OR staff 8. RTO: No RTO restrictions noted; however, no changes to contracts once signed — all RTO must be agreed upon prior to signing; no pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius; locals not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Orientation is 36 hours 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted for RN positions; first-time travelers considered for CSTs with strong experience 14. Scrubs: Navy; OR scrubs provided by the hospital 15. Special Equipment: Robotic experience required; arthroscopes, laparoscopes, electrosurgical equipment, malignant hypothermia protocols, fire safety, code response; hybrid IR room; 4 off-site ORs (15 total rooms); cell saver; laser safety equipment Critical: Robotic experience is required. Some trauma experience is required. Nurses and techs clean and turn their own rooms with a 20-minute target. Floats to other campus within scope. Block schedule open to discussion in interview.
