If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.* All clinicians must badge in and out at facility Scrubs: Ceil Blue (provided) 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Circulate surgery cases, pull and prep for surgery cases, work from a preference card system, set-up/clean/turnover OR rooms, great organizational and note taking skills. Surgical specialties include general, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) Computer charting via the Epic system, medications stored in the Pyxis system and in Pharmacy, surgical equipment such as arthroscopic pumps and shavers, cautery machines, laser, fracture table, c-arm xray, etc. 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 year minimum OR experience. 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. SD RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred. 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Full time (64-80), 8 hour shifts, call rotation (1-2 days per week, every 2nd-4th weekend, rotating holidays) 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Potential to float within the peri-operative department which includes Patient Center (pre-op, post-op and outpatient services such as infusions, dressing changes, etc.), and PACU. 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 4 OR Suites, 1 Procedure Room, 8 PACU Bays, 18 Patient Center Rooms 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 1:1 in the OR; 1:1-4 in Patient center depending on patient needs and level of care; 2:1 in PACU 9. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Upon arrival there will be an initial department orientation to understand where things are located within the department as well as a general hospital orientation to point out how to get to and from other departments and areas of the hospital. There will be a short orientation period to go over equipment and supplies that we use and our workflow, and a more in depth orientation on any equipment and/or supplies that the individual has little to no experience with as needed.
