- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-timers not accepted; typically 1 year in specialty minimum per facility policy 2. Cases: All oncology dx, GI/GU dx needing infusion, OB fluids/nausea/vomiting regimens, research, migraine protocols, antibiotics, BCG, cystos, intrathecal chemo 3. Certifications: BLS and Chemo Cert (ONS/ONCC) required; copies of all certifications including Nursys or Allied License verifications must be included at time of submission; must be in hand 4. License: MN license preferred in hand; pending license accepted — traveler must apply for MN license through Aya project at time offer is accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic (Excellian) required; onsite Epic/Excellian classes are billable 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8s, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday; no on-call required; block schedule available; client may cancel up to 3 shifts at any time without penalty 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; Date of Birth, SSN, and RTO must be included in initial submission; any vacation plans between sign date and start date must be communicated to Account Manager at time of submission 9. Returning Staff: Traveler must be gone 3 months from last shift worked as permanent staff or per diem; Allina does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or for former perm employees 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius enforced; locals under 100 miles will be redirected; exception applies only to Radiology positions 11. Background: Cannot proceed if there is an open case; all hits reviewed during compliance process and cannot be screened prior to signing; fingerprinting required — LiveScan available in only 25 states outside Minnesota; results can take 1 day to 3-4 weeks; candidates will not be cleared to start without fingerprint results on file; this is a Minnesota state requirement with no exceptions 12. Modules: Pre-start modules required; travelers receive $150 stipend for completing pre-start modules; average 8 hours; recorded by transcripts; all onsite modules (Epic/Excellian classes) are billable; compliance document deadline is the Monday prior to start 13.
