- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1.5 years required; SD/PCU experience specifically required (ICU experience does not count); application must reflect 1:5 ratio experience in work history for SD or PCU 2. Cases: Oncology and hematology required; sickle cell experience and chemo certification preferred but not required; blood products, chemotherapy, drips, PCAs, wounds 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (must be able to read and interpret strips); OCN preferred; ONS Certification required to administer chemotherapy on unit; EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment must be completed within 72 hours of signing 4. License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted; candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required for all inpatient nursing roles 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours; 18 or 20 week contract options available; no block schedule; must work every other weekend/holiday; must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units; traveler is first to float; Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 3 shifts per 13-week contract or 2 shifts for 8-week contract with 2 weeks notice 8. RTO: Must be submitted with initial submittal; no RTO added after offer; approval at manager's discretion; maximum of 14 days allowed per contract; one pre-approved RTO noted 9. Returning Staff: Any prior permanent/PRN staff or prior agency traveler not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying; must disclose prior employment including facility, unit, and dates; facility rehire approval required before offer can proceed 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile local radius for nursing; local travelers are not accepted 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable 13.
