- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have MS and oncology experience (1 year minimum); Heme Onc experience strongly preferred; must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass 2. Cases: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Amyloidosis, Aplastic Anemia, Chronic Leukemia, CLL, CML, Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Myelodysplastic Syndrome, Myeloproliferative Disorders, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma; Autologous, Syngeneic, and Allogeneic Transplants; CAR-T Therapy; heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred; Chemo certification is NOT required 4. License: Valid compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission for RNs 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Day/Night rotating or Nights; if on rotating contract, may be scheduled days, nights, or combination based on department needs; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; float required to other MedSurg Oncology units 8. RTO: RTO required with submission and must be built into contract; one pre-approved time off noted; screen candidates for vacation time immediately after booking due to fingerprinting delays 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible for travel assignment after being away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible to be hired as traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate; submit to one location only 11. Background: Ohio fingerprinting required; must be completed as soon as contract is signed; candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those at extreme distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently; strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start with no exceptions; travelers unresponsive or uncooperative with credentialing are at risk of push/cancel 12. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16.
