Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of oncology experience preferred but NOT required; high acuity PCU patient experience required; experience must be within the 3 most recent years with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass 2. Cases: Solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, thoracic oncology; oncology telemetry with PCU level of care 3. Certifications: BCLS/BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; must be in hand at time of submission 4. License: Valid compact or state RN license required in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Day/Night rotating or nights; self-schedule requests; first week Mon-Fri dayshift orientation; second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor; float required to other PCU or MedSurg Oncology units; no call required 8. RTO: RTO must be submitted with submission and built into contract; only one pre-approved time off; screen for vacation time immediately after booking due to fingerprinting delays 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after being away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rate 11. Background: Ohio fingerprinting required immediately upon signing contract; candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must drive to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those at extreme distances will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently; strict compliance deadline is Tuesday prior to start — no exceptions 12. Modules: Orientation is 72 hours total 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred but not listed as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: GE telemetry monitor system (B450), Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, PCA pumps Critical: Ohio fingerprinting must be completed as soon as the contract is signed — urgency must be communicated to all candidates. Submit to only one location. Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted.
