- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years recent NICU experience required; Level 3 or 4 NICU experience required 2. Cases: NICU; patient population is neonates; NICU IV and Pediatrics skills noted 3. Certifications: PALS required (AHA Only); BLS required; NRP preferred; copies/license in hand required at time of submittal 4. License: License in hand required at time of submittal; facility will NOT accept candidates without license in hand; GA release needed within 24 hours of signing; license verification required within 72 hours of signing 5. Education: BSN preferred, but not required 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred; charting system experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Nights 1900-0700; block scheduling every weekend FRI-SUN or SAT-MON; float required to other departments at AMBH and cross campus to SR NICU (all within 12-mile radius); must include float agreement in contract; holiday coverage required — must work either day of Christmas or day before/day after Christmas; weekend coverage required 8. RTO: Minimal to no RTO; RTO dates must be submitted at time of submission; must be included on submission 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Float to sister campuses within 12-mile radius; first-time travelers accepted if resume supports needed skills; recent travel experience preferred 11. Background: CHOA tests for cotinine/nicotine; nicotine-free campus; no smoking allowed 12. Modules: Compliance hard doc due date is 7 business days prior to start — no exceptions; med pass/fail test given; if RN fails second attempt, they will be canceled; labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing 13. Travel Experience: Travel experience required; recent travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted if resume suggests needed skills 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15.
