- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of experience required; 1st time traveler accepted 2. Cases: General medical-surgical with oncology history; chemotherapy/biotherapy administration (IV, PO, or injection); patient diagnoses include AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips 3. Certifications: BLS required; ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration preferred but travelers must be willing to obtain prior to or during assignment; facility provides onsite training; OCN preferred; CPI preferred; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred; PYXIS and SBAR also used on unit 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights; every other weekend required; call required if called off on a prescheduled shift; floating required to similar units and alternate care locations including inpatient holding in the ED; contract staff assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters; attendance at monthly staff meetings required; shifts called out must be rescheduled; 13-26 week contracts accepted 8. RTO: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call offs or additional RTO could result in cancellation and DNR; one pre-approved time off noted 9.
