- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 1st time travelers accepted 2. Cases: General Med/Surg patients; adults and geriatrics; daily census ~43; insulin drips, heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, high flow oxygen, occasional limited short-term BiPap (no additional training needed); no PCU level patients 3. Certifications: BLS/BCLS required; CPI preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start; AHA requirement not specified 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; Pyxis, SBAR also in use 7. Shifts/Call: 12HR Nights (18:45-07:15); 36 or 48 hours accepted; charge role required for night travelers; call required if put on call prescheduled shift; float to similar units and alternate care locations; every other weekend required; must work holidays; assigned to Inclement Weather/Storm/Hurricane Team; must attend monthly unit team meetings (4th Wednesday Jan-Oct, 3rd Wednesday Nov-Dec at 1730; night shift follow-up at 0730 the Friday after); contract length 13-26 weeks accepted 8.
