- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 5 years required 2. Cases: Trauma (abuse/violence victims, MVA, MVC, falls), geriatric trauma (55+ with trauma), acute care surgery (appendicitis, gallbladders, hernia repairs, fistulas, wounds, burns, TBI) 3. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required; must obtain ACLS by compliance deadline for Barnes-Jewish Hospital 4. License: MO or compact required (submit without MO license OK; IL license in hand required at submittal); compact must match permanent residence 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required; no on-call; float within service line 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days per 13-week contract (7+ days requires manager approval); no new RTO after submission; no RTO first week of assignment 9. Returning Staff: 18 months with 3-month break in service required; permanent BJC/Saint Lukes employees must wait 1 year 10. Travel/Local: 75-mile radius; no local candidates accepted (except PCTs, CNAs, Medical Assistants) 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Required for RNs; billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; completed pre-start through WorkRamp; must start within 1 week of contract signing and complete 2 Fridays prior to start date 13.
