- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience required for submission 2. Cases: Inpatient oncology with med/surg overflow; chemotherapy administration; oncology experience preferred but not required 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; ONS chemo/bio cert preferred; Chemo (ONS/ONCC) listed; all BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through American Heart Association (AHA); copies of all required certifications must be included in submittal packet 4. License: WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, weekdays, every other weekend throughout contract; blocked schedule; 1:5-6 ratio (6 patients days, nights, and weekends); call not required; attendance policy — only 2-3 call-offs tolerated per contract 8. RTO: Must be included at time of submittal; pre-approved time off limited to two; only one holiday will be approved (inferred from RTO field — disregard; explicitly stated: RTO must be submitted at time of submittal, pre-approved time off: two) 9. Returning Staff: Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last permanent employment date before returning as a traveler; current Vandalia Health System employees (perm, PRN, etc.) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system, which includes CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System; previous charge experience preferred; previous probationary actions on a license reviewed on a case-by-case basis 10. Travel/Local: Candidates must have a permanent address 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate 11. Modules: Non-billable; average completion time 8 hours; completed prior to start date; requirements vary by specialty 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Skills required include IV start; accessing/managing ports and central line experience also listed.
