- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of RN experience minimum; at least 1+ year of in-specialty experience required 2. Cases: Orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma, sports injury, Med/Surg overflow; Trauma Level II required, Trauma Level I preferred 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by AHA standard) 4. License: WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted; Nursys pulled within 2 days of submission date; clean license required; hits submitted for case-by-case approval 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 7P-7A; every other weekend required; float within scope to meet facility needs; 36hr or 48hr contract options; OT after 48hrs for 4x12s 8. RTO: Manager open to accommodating blocked schedule requests if it fits unit needs; one pre-approved time off noted 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers for 2 years after last date worked permanent 10. Travel/Local: 100-mile radius rule; 75-99 miles can be sent for facility approval; NO LOCALS ACCEPTED 11. Background: Not specified beyond license hits submitted for case-by-case basis approval 12. Modules: Orientation held every other week on Thursdays and Fridays; computer lab all day Thursday, Friday until lunch; 16 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14.
